Noel To Pass Close to Florida - Tropical Storm Watches Issued

Noel Advisories

PUBLIC ADVISORY
FORECAST DISCUSSION

Monday, 10/29/2007 - 11:00PM EDT

Tropical Storm Noel has emerged from Haiti today and has become a little better organized tonight now the circulation is entirely over water.  Model guidance suggests Noel will make it a little further west than previously thought, and tropical storm watches and warnings are up for the Bahamas and Cuba.

The model concensus is that Noel will make a turn over the Bahamas and head northeast by the weekend.  However, the models have been shifting a little to the west for the last few runs, so residents in Flordia should watch this very carefully.  In fact, tropical storm watches or warnings could be issued as early as 5am Tueday morning.

Either way, it could be a wet and windy halloween for South Florida.
